My name is Carlo Godoy, I was born in Los Angeles, Ca., I am proud to say that I am a product of Oxnard since the age of 8. I earned my “AA” from Ventura College and 3 years later earned my Bachelors Degree in Cinematic Arts from the prestigious University of Southern California (USC). I am the son of two long time employees of the school district, the late Sal Godoy, former Executive Director of Facilities and Maintenance and Linda Godoy, current Kindergarten Teacher with over 21 years in the district.
- Father of three young children, two of whom attend Thurgood Marshall, Oxnard School District
- Actively involved in the community as a coach for the past five years: Northside Youth Baseball, North Oxnard Warriors, Oxnard PAL Basketball, Oxnard Stars Track and Field
- Served as a member of the School Site Council at Thurgood Marshall, Oxnard School District
- Member of Oxnard Chamber of Commerce
- Member of Gold Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- Member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge
- Member of BNI, a small business-networking group
- Taught elective courses at Mesa Union School: video production, animation, claymation, photography, and news broadcasting
- Worked as a construction site manager / project engineer on numerous projects including: Thurgood Marshall Elementary, Rio Del Norte Elementary, Rio Rosales Elementary, Rio Vista Middle School, Moorpark Police Service Station, Moorpark Corporate Yard, and Malibu Fire Station 56

I have long awaited positive change within the District, and feel there is much to be improved. I want to bring fresh ideas and positive solutions to the Oxnard School District, so that we, as parents, ensure that our children are the priority of this community.
